Boy has it been a eventful month and 3 days. Today is my mother's birthday and Alyssa's too. We had a nice dinner last night with cake and stuff for them both. I am trying to adjust with Mel and Noah leaving. It was brutal for me and everyone. I have a testimony of how much the Lord loves each one of us. This has been a move that the Lord has opened up the way in every way. I am so happy for them to be in a home with a back yard fence and 3 bedrooms so cool for them all. Noah starts school in a few days we pray for him to work hard and do all he can to help Mel.
How I miss our little boys, i still cry very easily and when i find a toy or a piece of clothing or look out our back window and see all the toys my heart is sad. My heart is sad because i miss them so very much but am happy for them and the chance to move forward.

last night Heather's father in law Glenn Goodman passed away, it was so fast. He had ALS and thought he would be with us at least for a year or two. So hard for us to loose the people we love, I am so thankful for the truth of knowing where we came from and where we go after we leave this life. Well on to a new year, we never know what it will bring but we can hope and pray that it will be a good year. Even still we continue to work on being prepared for hard times, I see it comming, our country has lead us right down that road. But if we do all we can and serve others and love the Lord and live as he would we will be ok. I pray for a wonderful new year.

So it is almost Christmas and this will truly be one of the most different Christmases. Melissa and Noah will be leaving to live in Rexburg Idaho soon and that will make 2 children living far away and 4 grand children
living far away. I am so happy for them though because Noah can go forward to his educatonal goals and find a good job. I will miss them so so very much that I can't even think about it.
My sister Joyce passed away Sunday which is hard but I am so happy for her to be able to be free of her illness. Mental illness is a hard thing to live with for so long. To make it worse she lived so far away it was diffacult to
be there very much. We were able to visit her 2 months ago and she was not good then, but she was able to see mom again and my sister and I, I knew then she wasn't going to be with us very long.
We will miss her and pray for her adjustment to a new wonderful place with our dad and many other relatives.
Our visit to Omaha was very nice and mom went with us and she did amazingly well. Our Emelia is beautiful. We just loved her and held her and enjoyed every min. Sara and Brian took such good care of us we thank them so much and love them.

The end of a long week

So this week has been a long week but a good one. The girls and Mel and Noah found an appartment in Sac. So things will be changing. That is one thing that is certain and that is change!! Brian took his test for the leagal part of the pharmacy test today he said he would rather take the first test twice rather than take this next on. He called and said he passed
the first one he said "I Aced it" the results came in the mail. Congradulations!!

How do I express my feelings today, SO MUCH has gone on this past week. First I just want to give my testimony of How much our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ loves us and we see that everyday in our family. This past week Brian took his pharmacy test to get his license,
and so many prayers from all of our friends and family went out for his sucess and to be calm as he took the test. He is pleased to say that he felt he did well in his words "didn't ace it but did well" Oh how prayers work. Brian we are so proud of you!! You da man!

Within the past two weeks we have had aunt Drue here with us to visit with her sister, well I will say how fun it is to have two sister together. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful mother and be able to have aunt Drue here also she is a sweetheart.

Thursday night we were treated by Dr Art with his office to the Rivercats game in Sac. He went all out to take good care of all of us going back and forth to buy us all anything we wanted to eat.
It was such a cool beautiful night to be outside. As I have said before Ken & I were disapointed that the Boston Celtics lost the champoinship game. So tired of the lakers always winning.

Father's day is tomarrow I feel awful that I can't get anything for my sweet hard working husband. What an amazing man he is. All these years he has worked so hard so that I could be home taking care of our kids teaching them all of the values he and I felt were so very important. Then always allowed me to take in anyone who needed a place. Anywhere he goes to work he can pick up and make his work a better place and learn so fast. But the most important thing is that he is an amazing Priesthood holder and honors his Priesthood in all he does. He Loves the Lord and would do anything for others. Happy Fathers day Ken. I love you so much. You are doing an awsome job here on earth.

New things

Boy it has been a hard week, realizing we have to move for real. I have been just hoping it was just a bad dream :>( I know I can go where ever the Lord leads me but we have worked so very hard here and I love this place. All the fruit trees are so full of fruit this year more than ever at least since we have been here.

We have moved so many times so why is this even harder? Because life is so much more different than ever so unsure, and for sure all of our family is now going to be in different places.
I know, I know that is the way it is but I don't have to like it. Where do we go and what do we do now??? if we were 30 it wouldn't seem so hard. Ken and I pray everyday for Travis & Janeann to understand just exactly what they are doing and what they have done to 4 of the most important people in their lives, people who have taken care of him loved him through so many hard things and still love him.

Anyway I am so thankful for the Lord and his peace that lets me know he loves me and is there for me when things get tough. I am so thankful for just having a job for Ken so we have food, and to have such amazing children who daily make me so proud to have been able to be their mom.

Well such a wonderful time in Omaha! We just finished Brian's hooding ceremony we all are so proud of him! He had accomplished something amazing. We love you Brian! We are so thankful we could be here.

What a nice day being able to be with grandkids!! They are so cute. So we go into the 7-11 to buy a slurpie and we get to the check out and the nice east Indian man and I are talking and Alyssa so sweet but (has no volumn on her voice says) grandma do you speak spanish and I say no as I am paying for it, she says well then how do you understand that man? I said because he speaks english, and she says no because I don't understand him. Yea, it was intresting. She really didn't understand him and I will admit he did have a pretty heavy accent. Gotta love the pure honesty that comes from children. Had a nice afternoon with all of them. I love them so much.

Oh my goodness the mother of all huge massive trees just fell in our backyard!!!! yea we were sitting down to eat dinner and our back neighbor that we NEVER see or know came to our door and said kinda in a drunk way aah a branch just came down off the big tree in the back and It is going to come down I am calling my insurance company so you better get anything out of the yard you don't want hurt out. Ken came from the door looked out side and saw a branch had fallen but the tree looked fine, sat down and maybe 3 mins later crash. Right on the swing set and Abby our dogs run and kennel. It was a miricle she was not hurt, we were able to cut her out of the small space in the kennel . This tree is massive!!!!!!!!! and very very old. For sure if Ken would have gone out to move Abby out of the kennel he would have been under that tree.
Thank you so much Heavenly Father for your watchful eye. What a miricle. We have been so blessed no one was hurt.

A new week

Well here's to a new week, what will this week bring? Birthdays, thats what Will's is this week and little Elijah's is the 30th!!! Oh yea weight watchers today ah well lets just say it hasn't been the most successful 4 months but each day and week is a new one so I still keep at it. Travis and Janeann had a new little girl last week so happy she is here and a healthy little one. Tinnly I think. No matter the twists and turns life takes or the actions of some we love all of our family. Congrads Travis and Janeann!! So thankful for my Hubby for his consistant love and hard work. He is a great man. I love you Ken. You did an awsome job on the dutch oven peach cobbler!!!!

Changes and decissions

I guess I am a true gemini in that I need change but the inner me never seeks for it. Now that I am older I find it so hard to have life change. I so miss the days of being a mom and keeping the house on a even keel and having all my sweet little ones around me, learning daily why the Lord allowed me to have each one of them. In those days they taught me so much, not that they don't still do. I find I have had such a hard time letting loose of those precious children and friends. I know that is the Lord's plan and I am so happy they have found people who they love.

Now I must learn it is time for me to move to the next step in life and i am truly trying. It doesn't take much to bring a tear to my eyes when I think of our little family and all the good times I miss, but I am truly trying to do better and love life in the now.

Also it never seems to get any easier to make decissions in life. I always thought that when you get older it gets easier, yea, NO. In all things i have always tried to make decissions based on what I know is right and if the Savior were standing right in front of me it would be a choise that would be pleasing to him. Now as the days get more complacated the economy gets more unsure making financial decissions are not so easy to make. For months we have been faced with having to make some important financial decissions that seem to be more complicated that usual. I cling to my faith in the Lord and his son Jesus Christ to help us make these choices. Still it is one of the most diffacult things.

Well I guess you can see some of the reasons I love my life. How richly blessed I have been.
He is always right there with me and knows when I need something, the Lord never lets me down. Just when I need him the most he helps me. He knows what I need to help me to grow and then allows life to do that for me. I only pray that I will in every test make the decissions he would want me to make and always be found following his example of kindness, and doing what is right. I am daily humbled at his love for us and me. One of the big ways he has shown me his love is by allowing me to have such an amazing family, family is everything.

The Book of Mormon

I have been reading the Book of Mormon and I am so amazed at how our country and our people are following the same course as those in this book. I read as the kings and judges allowed the bad people and secret combinations to come into their government and then began to take away the most precious thing they had freedom. I see our country and its leaders doing the same thing and it is so very clear to see the bad people they have within their staff. I pray somehow they will decide to make better choices or we will be in for some awful scary times ahead.

I love this country. This is the land the Lord set aside for his plan of happiness to spring from and it requires freedom. May we be strong and stand up when the need and time may arise.

We had a wonderful day today, we went to the church cannery in Sac. WE canned Salsa and we had such a good time. What a blessing to be a part of the the Lords church here on earth one that teaches us to help ourselves by preparing for our needs. When we go to the cannery we not only help provide for our own needs but give service to others by helping there. Knowing that the food we cann there goes to those who are in need. It is so nice to be there with all of the ward members.

Amy came along with us for her first trip to this cannery, she really enjoyed it and will be ready to go back again. We are just so thankful to be apart of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day saints and the truth of the gospel. Boy this week went so fast ready for another sabath day.

Happiness

Happiness comes in so many ways but for me there are 3 main things that bring me happiness. First this is not in order, Being with my husband and family, Good Food,
and knowing I belong to the same church that Christ organized when he was on the earth. What a comfort and a joy not to speak of great peace that comes. With so much bad stuff going on in the world today, I feel so humbled at all the many gifts of happiness the Lord has given me and our family.

As I read the Book of Mormon and see in Ether where the people of that day made such big mistakes such as allowing bad people to get into thier government by voting them in I see how we are no different than them in that we have allowed some of the same people to get into our government also. The kind of people I am talking about only want it their way and want power, and want to tell us the choices to make instead of allowing us to make our own choices. This is NOT God's way!! The whole reason we are here on this earth is because we wanted to be like our Heavenly Father and by comming here to the earth and recieve a body we could show him by the very gift of happiness he gave us Agency to choose.

I am just so thankful that I have the truth of God's plan of Happiness and pray for our country and our leaders to make better choices than they have thus far, for if they don't and we of this country don't stand up we sill have the same fait and those of the scriptures both the Bible and the Book of Mormon we will be in sore shape. Read the history books.

I daily thank the Lord for the gifts of happiness, he blessese me with and I pray for all of us.

More Moving along

My heart is broken again, as I said in my last post I know life must change for that is the one thing it always does. I knew I would never ever be good at it {change} Well today was a very hard day because today I found out that our daughter and her husband and little family will be moving 8 hours away, that may not seem like alot of miles to many but for me it may as well be 1000. This has been a diffacult month for me and my heart breaking. I can't even think of not seeing my three precious little grandbabies or hearing them call me saying Grandma me see you,I be missin you. Grandma you a real good girl, you my sweetpea. I am so sad, I can't express it in words. I know that for them they feel they need to leave and for their own reasons I understand but for me I am numb. Our world and our economy is changing things for many many peoople and many families are having to make many diffacult choices, I just never thought my little family that we love so much would have to be so spread out. We all said as they were growing up that we would all live in a huge huge house that everyone could fit in well that would be a no I don't think that will happen. I just feel so thankful to my Heavenly Father for allowing me to have such a perfact life with them as they grew how hard it is to let them go. I hope we will all make it through it all. I will pray for my sweet little grandbabies to not be to home sick for me as I will be for them. Till next blog Heartbroken grandma signing off.

Boy so much to say, we had a great visit with Brian and Sara. Wish we could say the same for our travel. Never have very good luck with airlines. Frontier is the last of our escapades with airlines. What started to be a fairly cheap trip ended up costing 1400.00 because when we arrived at the airport 40 min before the flight they said we were late so they would not let us take the flight, come to find out they left with 5 open seats. We were put on standby all day and into the night, they over booked every flight for 3 days. They told us if we got to Denver we would have a better chance to catch a standby seat so we pay 385 to get to Denver and still wait all day not wanting to take a chance on not getting on a flight the next day which they said our chances were slim to none we bought a ticket to Sac on South west for 585 at least we got home so ken could go to work. Sara and Brian made our stay very nice, even though i feel bad because Sara did all the cooking and stuff, Thank you Sara. I can now say that little family we had hoped would stay so close knite together is a bit further now. I never thought time would fly so fast and now they are all grown up and it is time to let them all move on and have their own families. I won't pretend to like it because I miss those good wonderful happy times when they were young,how I love them. My heart is sad and I cry often but it is all ok. I am so very proud of each and everyone of our children they are such wonderful people. We have had a simple life but a blessed one. We are so happy to have the happy times, good times yet simple times and to know we don't need much to be happy as long as we are all together and have each other and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you Brian and Sara for such a wonderful time. We hated to leave you . Hope you will always know just how much I love you my handsome one son. How proud we are of you. and just how hard it is not to see you more often all my love Mom

What a beautiful day here in Californaia! In the 70's and sunshine everywhere. If it would stay this way I 'd love it. Happy Birthday to our Sara hope you had a great day on your special day
on Friday. Our thoughts were with you.

I have been doing some geneology and am really enjoying it. Finding some intresting people we are related to. We had a hetic day in my primary class but it was all in all a wonderful sabath day. I am really watching this swine flu stuff carefully and am so greatful we have been doing all we can do to be prepared, still need to do alot more but it take a steady course of a little here and a little there. Please if I can only tell all of you my friends and family PLEASE, get some food and keep your car full and stay home if you are sick don't take it out and about other people.

We had the girls with us this weekend and how nice it is to have them with us, they are so good to us and we love them so muchs, how we miss Brian and Sara. Everyone have a great week.

Busy Week

Boy how fast time flys!!! It seems like we just began March and now it is April half way through
April at that! April 24th is Sara's birthday, Happy Birthday Sara we love you!! Sad we can't be there. Today we heard the news that Sharri's mother inlaw died Ruth Heinrich, wow.
I know she is happy as a clam to be with her hubby Pete, and son Terry. We got so much done today poured cement, got siding for shed, lots of little projects done. Whitney and Amy came and were such a huge help. Thank you so much girls we love you so much. Have a great sabath day!

The Lord knows

Yesterday was a busy day, we got so much done as we planed a trip to the Beautiful Sacramento temple. We have been really trying so hard to go to the temple every week, especially now that Ken can come. As we were just blocks away we were traveling on Madison Blvd. when a guy on a motorcycle went by. Sharri and I began to talk about how glad I was that Ken didn't have a bike anymore and she said Travis would never have one again either. We drove on and when we came to the next light there was that young guy laying in the road, his bike in crumbled pieces you couldn't even tell it was a bike the pieces were so small. It was horriable!! my heart sunk as I began to pray for this young man. We got to the temple and neither Sharri or I could shake the sad awful feeling of seeeing that young man on the street. Sharri and I put him on the prayer rolls of the temple, wondering how to write it so we put the man on a bike hit on madison ave.When we got to the temple we were in line to go into the session when 3 other ladies were talking about the same accident we all had put him on the prayer rolls. The Lord knows everyting and who is doing what. I pray that his family will be comforted at this time, what a sad day for that family. We just never know what tomarrow will bring. How greatful I am to have the true gospel in my life and to know that the Lord loves me and his son also. What a peace and comfort it is to know I will live with my family forever, happy day! Happy day!!

What a great sabath day it has been. It is really windy here but otherwise it is a very beautiful day. Today I am so greatful to be a part of Jesus Christ's church that has been restored back to the earth in the last days. I am so thankful to know that God has a body of flesh and blood just like me and that Jesus Christ is his son, that they are two seperate people but one in purpose.
I am thankful for a Prophet just as they had in Bible times which shows that God loves us and hasn't left us alone or stopped talking to us. I am also greatful that I know I lived with him before I came here and sat with him as we talked about what my mission would be, I was so excited to accept my mission and just knew I could do it. So here I am and doing all i can to
please my Heavenly Father and myself, a daily challenge. I love my Heavenly Father and his son I am so thankful for the amazing family for the children we have they are awsome. Thank you, Thank you each one of my kids for the love and service and devotion to me and your dad that you have given, what a blessing all of you are to dad and I. I pray for each one of us to have a wonderful week.

Boy what a great week we had. Our new little jeramiah is so precious and tiny. He is getting a bit of meat on his little body, but still so so cute. Our family has been slowly trying to transform our backyard into a multipurpose yard. We have high hopes to be able to live out of our backyard. We have been planting more fruit trees,besides what is already there. We have planted a wonderful garden next we want some chickens. Our goal is to be as self-sufficiant as possible.

Ken and I love to work in the yard, we love the outdoors. All of the grandkids love to come and help grandma & grandpa and just play and get dirty. Ken is having many blessings come to him as he works really hard to gain a clientel with used parts in his new job with Holt of Ca. The Lord has been so kind and kept Ken in his tender care now bringing people to him now and then instead of Ken having to go and search alone. We are so humbled at his love for us and our family.

It was Brian's birthday this last week and it was the pitts for all of us to be so far away from him.
I must say even though he is married in our hearts he will always be close to us and a part of us.
Still my heart was so sad not to be able to give him a hug and just hang out with him and sara.

Thursday Amy & I went to a big leadership/self empowerment convention at Arco Arena where Micheal Phelps, Colin Powel, Gulini and many more people, it was very good and helped remind me that whatever you put your mind to you can do if you want to. Wow I can't believe it it almost sunday again!! It seems like the weeks just zoom buy anymore. Also there are so many things and people to help that I feel I am not doing enough but I know in the end I am doing all I can right now.

I am really concerned about our country, I feel like this amazing, free, choice land is being slowly taken away. There is more to the picture that meets the eye. Our economy is slowly crashing and our family is working so hard to be prepared. I encourage EVERYONE TO DO ALL YOU CAN TO GET PREPARED FOR THE THINGS THAT ARE COMMING. I suggest ernest prayer and ask what you need to be doing for your family to be prepared. I love my Heavenly Father and he will guide you and be with you if you will only ask and do all you can to keep his commandments. Have a great week.

We are so very excite to tell everyone we just had a new baby come to our family, Melissa had Jeramiah last thursday. He is the largest of their 3 sons weighing in at 5lbs 12 oz. and he waited the longest to come here 35 weeks!!! He is amazing and very strong and healthy, we are so very greatfull to Heavenly Father for his tender care of Melissa through this pregancy. It was a busy week with Isiah's birthday, then Jeramiah being born, to finish on the 15th with Melissa's birthday!! Our family is truly blessed and the joy of that and our faith in Jesus Christ is what brings us peace and happiness. Welcome to our family Jeramiah you'll love it, it is the greatest family ever!!!!

Over whelmed

I just want to say that the shape of our economy is very scary!! I at times feel overwhelmed with the awful stuff that is going on aroud me. We pray so much for our leaders that they will come to some sense of reality and do a better job of fixing what is wrong. I don't really like Obama I feel
like there is so much more to all of this and I won't go into that. I just ask and pray for all of you our friends and family to do more to get some food and be spritually strong. That is the only way to not be afraid and to continue to do good. I love you all.

Another Miricle

Hello everyone!! again the Lord has stepped into our lives and performed a miricle and we now have a new job for Ken where he will be able to be home everyday!! We are so very humbled at this new chance to be a complete couple and family. Living away from home and each other has been hard and stressful to say the least. These are trying times and for that reason we must put all of our trust in the Lord and his son Jesus Christ, how we love him.

We are happy to have my sis back living with us she and I get to go to the temple every week and now with ken being home he can come with us it doesn't get much better than that. I just want to say how greatful I am for our children what awsome people they are they don't come any better than they. Thank you for all of your support and concern for me and for your dad in calls and help in many ways. The Lord truly blessed Ken and I with wonderful souls as children.
How we miss Brian with all of our hearts yet how excited we are for he and Sara in the purchase of their 1st home, it is a beautiful home. How we all wish we could be out there to help them move in.

I will say Thank you Heavenly Father for all of our blessings. On to another great day tomarrow!
